Passion Projects

Project Potential

An educational program designed from psychological theory, lived experiences, and Indigenous teachings; allows students to build the capacity to dream and believe in the desired future that is supportive of each individual’s unique gifts and values, and furthermore creates salience of opportunity and goal-setting strategies. This program also fosters a growth mindset and interest in leading with values of respect, love integrity, and communities of interdependence.

WattsLife

A blog sharing the embrace of global travels through interactive social media. For people who want to learn more about the world, and engage in our collective global community. The content shared is powerfully authentic, engaging, and radiates a contagious enthusiasm for life, with impressions of Nuu-Chah-Nulth values of iisak and hishuk-ish-tsawalk (values which signify respect for self and others, and others on this earth we are all one).

Free Yourself

Around the world, mental health is a struggle for many. Every day, people are weighed down psychologically and are challenged to be vulnerable. Sometimes these experiences accumulate having compounding effects and can have a toll on overall well-being.

This is a truth that many people face, but unfortunately, many people have immense difficulty in facing that reality. However, all is not lost. Many people may be unaware, but we have the power to find the solution to this life dilemma.

Understanding this weight, I endeavoured to find a resolution and help people. Personally, there had already been an accumulation of life experiences adding weight to my life, and I wanted freedom. I had a spark to begin this journey, but it was when I began to further learn of other people who shared a similar plight, that this spark became a kindling fire. The fire then ignited to a passion of mine when I learned I have the capacity to help other people as well. Thus, was born, the passion project, “Free Yourself”.

Internationals in the Sky

An exchange semester is life-changing, and the experiences it holds are often the most memorable during one’s lifetime. During an international semester, students have an opportunity to embrace cultural enrichment through the rich exchange of ideas and perspectives.

Recognizing the prominence of a semester abroad, and the importance of honouring growth and success, I became inspired to create Internationals in the Sky. Celebrating new relationships, memorable experiences shared, and a significant time of growth, Internationals in the Sky is an initiative to commemorate the life-changing experience.
